Use the buttons on the lid of jar to program the countdown timer and press the set button when the desired time is set. You will see the clock count down until it is time for your treat.

To open the jar, squeeze the pads on the top of the lid and twist counter-clockwise. But remember - if you do this before the time is up you are in for a shock.
